About the Band

Finishing line of punk rock movement that shows the exit of the game. Gives a clear way out. It connects with simplicity and not conforming to any form or rule. Pure expression of the spirit with pure vision of the past present and future. Mystery of human beings with deeper insight through King David’s 21st century progressive tone. This music is breakfast, lunch and dinner for all hungry souls, all the vitamins you need to take daily. Fresh shake of mind and thunder for the soul.

VITAMIN XP was born in 2019, with Aleksandar Adzic on guitar/vocals and Alejandra Arellano on drums. Some said of Aleks’s vocal style that it’s “reminiscent of Iggy, Bowie as Ziggy Stardust,” and “the dystopian apathy of The Sex Pistols.” Aleks’s raw and unique take on protoplasmic rock n’ roll was discovered by Joe Cardamone (of LA’s The Icarus Line).

Aleksandar is originally from Serbia, where he grew up in the 90’s listening to the Ramones, New York Dolls, The Stooges and other punk driven bands. He first began playing music in his native Serbia.

Aleksandar lived in an Orthodox Christian monastery for 6 months and was inspired to share his experience with other people.

He came to the United States and studied filmmaking at the Brooks Institute of Photography. He graduated in 2014 and has since made many short films. You can see his work here.

Aleks began recording music as VITAMIN XP in early 2019, resulting in the full-length demo “Broken Record,” which can be found on Bandcamp.

Alejandra and Aleks began practicing together and the two of them recorded the first VITAMIN XP studio album, “Daily Dose,” with producer Joe Cardamone.

In summer 2019, Blanca Vanesa joined the band as a bass player and the band recorded the second studio album “Not of This World” in September.

VITAMIN XP played multiple shows in Los Angeles and one show in Serbia which was released as a live album (“Live in Serbia”). In 2021 James Lionheart joined the band on bass and the band recorded their third studio album which is still in production. A tour is being planned for the end of the year.
